Hi, I'm Sara Schmidt, a Rhode Island-based photographer and owner of Sara Anne Schmidt’s Photography. With over five years of experience, I hold an Associates in General Business and a Marketing Certificate from the Community College of Rhode Island.

Photography didn’t find me—I found it. After taking several photography courses in high school and college, I took a leap of faith and started my own business. Over the years, my portfolio has grown significantly.

I also photograph for Bryant University Athletics and Melino Photos, a media company focused on high school sports. These opportunities have allowed me to combine my love for sports and photography.

I focus on capturing both the event and the emotions behind it, creating more memorable images. Unlike most photographers, I prefer candid moments over posed shots, though I may incorporate poses when needed.

When I’m not photographing, I enjoy Rhode Island's beaches, Block Island, and spending time with my family, friends, and pets. And if you have a pet who loves to travel, feel free to bring them to your session!
